Once again, Riverfront Times proudly salutes St. Louis' artistic and cultural visionaries with our second annual
On Thursday, August 27, Riverfront Times will celebrate creative genius at work in St. Louis with Artopia, a gala celebration of the arts. On that night we will present pioneers in four fields - visual arts, performing arts, film/video/media and literary arts - with RFT MasterMind Awards of $1,000 each.
The MasterMinds are neither a lifetime achievement award nor a popularity contest. Our aim is to foster cutting-edge work that's being done right now, right here in St. Louis. We're looking for folks whose creative contributions are helping to redesign - and redefine - the town where we all live.
Anyone can nominate a potential MasterMind. Simply fill out the form that follows or download the pdf version. (Printed Nomination Forms may also be mailed to Riverfront Times MasterMinds, 6358 Delmar Blvd., Ste. 200, St. Louis, MO 63130).Nominees need not submit proposals outlining how they intend to use the money; all that's required is contact information and access to examples of nominees' work.
Along with representatives from the community, Riverfront Times will evaluate potential honorees in each field, then pick the four winners.Deadline for nominations: Monday, July 27, 2009.
